Come early and get your dim sum hot and fresh. My favorite was their shumai and baked bbq pork bun. This place was a GREAT find! Shumai was excellent and lots of flavor. Only a couple of drops of soy sauce and chili and it's party in my mouth. Fast service! This place is my new favorite dim sum place in Sacramento!
I really enjoy everything from this to-go dimsum place. No idea how they make everything so cheap and delicious. Definitely will come get some breakfasts or snacks next time.
ABC is awesome! Amazing shui mai, huge potstickers, great pork buns of both the baked and steamed variety, egg tarts - you name it. The littles love it as much as we do - especially the jumbo chocolate chip cookies. Word of warning - things sell out early, and the lines can get long (like around the building out the door long). So come prepared to wait, and get there early for the best selection!
Great place to get dim sum if you don't want to deal with the hassle of ordering from a restaurant or eating inside a business. This is more a Togo dim sum spot. Food was decent and price is okay. I've been here twice now and there was a line each time, but it moves pretty quickly. The food is good, but will add up if you're not careful. The desserts are okay. There are other places that do it better. The buns are decent as well. Service is typical of a chinese/asian place, seems unfriendly, but there is no rudeness or intention of it. Place is small though so best he prepared with you're order once you reach the register. I'll stop by when I crave dim sum on the go.
Sunday (3/17/24) morning drive to Sac to see our fam and we made a stop. It was early, 9/930, no line, well maybe 2 ahead of me but it moved quickly. The ladies were working hard and quick. We bought our usual and added the mochi biscuit with red bean, hot dog bun, baked chicken bun and egg tart. * Mochi biscuit with red bean - soft, chewy texture with the right amount of red bean. Not too sweet. * Hot dog bun was good. The shape and design made getting a piece of hot dog and bun combo perfect. It was a favorite (should have bought more) * Baked chicken bun was tasty. Wish there was a little more meat to even out the meat to bun ratio. Other than that, it was good. Recommend if you're looking for a non pork option. * Egg tart is another favorite. Flaky crust, lots of egg mixture that's not too sweet. It's a bit on the firm side, but I let it sit out to room temp and it softens it up a little more for a creamier texture Keep it up! Will definitely keep coming back and trying other goods.
How could we not know this place existed? As a couple who loves dim sum, it's like a piece of heaven! The bakery is located in South Sacramento and situated in a strip mall. When you enter, you'll be greeted by an array of fresh dim sum options. When we finally made it to the register, the lady took my order and we ended up getting a huge bag of goodies. Of all the items we got, my favorites were the siu mai, egg tarts, pineapple buns, and the salty fried dumplings. My fiance really liked the beef brisket rice noodles, as the broth was very flavorful. My only recommendation is to bring your own bags. Our plastic bag broke (I guess it couldn't contain all the yummness?) and we ended up hand carrying most of the to go containers by hand, which was not enjoyable at all. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will return for more dim sum.
I visited ABC Bakery on Saturday, 2/3/24, around 1:30 pm. Upon arrival, there was a huge line outside of the business. However, the line moved fairly quickly. I decided to order one Baked BBQ Pork Bun, two Shrimp Dumplings, and one dozen Pork Dumpling Sui Mai. The Pork Bun was piping hot, fresh, and delicious. The Shrimp Dumplings and Pork Dumpling Sui Mai were palatable and flavorful. I also loved how the dumplings were prepared huge! The price point of everything was affordable and worth the money. The customer service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Overall, ABC Bakery has wonderful baked goods and dumplings at a great price! I recommend coming here. The line may be long, but it is worth the wait.
Fast service but limited offerings. Best for their buns (both steamed and baked) and only 2 different types of dumplings which is sui mai and shrimp hargow. On weekends they offering Shanghai dumplings. They have stantions inside to keep the line efficient. On weekends always expect a line but it moves extremely fast. Recommendation to have your order/qty ready because they will absolutely rush you. There is a small cooler inside that offers a select amount of canned or bottled beverages such as coke, sprite, bottled water and a juice. We got their steamed buns, some dumplings, a pineapple pork bun and egg tarts. It looks like they rotate the filling of what they label "vegetable and pork bun" so make sure to ask since Yelp pictures can be misleading. Also they do not provide condiments automatically, you have to ask. They do take credit cards just not AMEX.
I have so many friends who tell me ABC is the place to go for delicious dim sum. I've enjoyed it a a few gatherings and for our latest experience my husband stopped by and picked up lunch for us. There's usually a line and you'll want to have your order ready when you get to the front to keep things moving. I thought they were cash only, but my husband was able to use a card on this last visit which just meant we ordered even more delicious food. We ended up with siu mai, har gow, XLB, a baked pork bun, steamed bun and rice rolls. We ordered enough to have plenty of leftovers to enjoy and everything was delicious. The siu mai ended up being our favorite, they are really big and packed with meat. I'm excited to keep coming back and trying more from their menu.
